AUDIO: Mike Harrington on Buffalo Sabres

We talk almost every day about the Buffalo Bills 17 year playoff drought, but if you haven’t noticed, the Buffalo Sabres are working on quite the lengthy playoff drought of their own.

With last night’s loss, the Sabres secured a spot out of the postseason for the 6th straight season.  Buffalo’s now on the second-longest NHL playoff drought, with the Carolina Hurricanes only behind them in time between postseason appearances.

Needless to say, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News has plenty of takes on how nearly impossible it is to be so bad in the NHL for so long.  Plus, we dig into why head coach Dan Bylsma benched Sam Reinhart for the entire game in Columbus after he violated a team rule.

And in spirit of #80sWeek on Morning Bull, we talk Mike’s memories of the Sabres of the 1980’s.
