Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced that they will be postponing his September shows as The Boss struggles with symptoms of peptic ulcer disease. The 73 year old singer made the announcement on Wednesday evening and apologized to his fans as his medical advisors decided it would be best for him to make this decision.

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these show up and then some.” Springsteen thanked his fans for their understanding and support and states that he’s looking forward to the great times to come.
