Metallica Announce New Single, Album World Tour

Metallica is back and better than ever with their newest single, album and tour. The album, 72 Seasons, is set to be released on April 14th and is the first since 2016’s Hardwired… to Self-Destruct. The first single and video from the album is called “Lux Æterna” and can be viewed here.

When discussing the new album title James Hetfield said, “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today.”

Metallica is set to start their world tour, Metallica M72, in Amsterdam on April 27th while the band performs for two nights in every city they visit with each night being two completely different setlists. The first North America leg will start August 3rd, 2023 in East Rutherford, New Jersey and will end on November 12th in Detroit. The second leg starts August 2nd, 2024 in Foxborough, Massachusetts and will wrap up on August 30th in Seattle.

The excitement doesn’t stop there because every first night of each North America have Pantera and Mammoth WVH will be opening, while every second night will feature Five Fist Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills. Hurry to buy your two-day tickets on Friday December 2nd and single day concert tickets available January 20th
