Here’s another cool guest for #80sWeek on Morning Bull. You may remember Tom Calderone if you attended Buffalo State in the 1980’s. He was instrumental in founding WBNY FM, the campus radio station responsible for bringing lots of hip, fresh music to Buffalo’s airwaves in the 1980’s, 90’s, and today.
He worked his way up to MTV, and was at one time president of VH1 in the 2000’s. He’s now an executive at Spotify, a major music subscription streaming service. What was it like to spin records at Buffalo bars in the 1980’s?
