35 Years Ago: The Rolling Stones at Rich Stadium

patch

The Rolling Stones 1981 American Tour came to Rich Stadium on September 27th, the third date of the tour.  George Thorogood and Journey were the opening acts on a wet and windy day, forcing the Stones to abandon the decorative stage scrims that were used on the tour.  97 Rock broadcast live with Larry Norton and Paul Heine reporting from the stage, The Bearman in the press box and Carl Russo delivering traffic updates from a prop plane.
